Planning Your SUPER BOWL LIV Party

Doesn’t matter if you’re cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs or the San Francisco 49ers, we all know that you are really the most excited for the party you’re attending. The snacks, the company, and the energy that surrounds Super Bowl Sunday is unparalleled. As your event gurus here at Riad, we thought that we would put together a Super Bowl party guide so that you have an unforgettable night.

The Dips

1. Buffalo Chicken Dip

A timeless classic. It tastes phenomenal and is insanely simple to make. We are warning you now, once your guests take one dip, they will fully be addicted and want to finish the entire bowl so be sure to make a large amount. A simple recipe to follow can be found HERE.

2. Guacamole

This one is obvious. Who doesn’t love a good batch of guacamole to dip 1,000 tortilla chips in? Definitely invest in a giant Costco-sized bag of tortilla chips because your guests are obviously going to attack a bowl filled with them.

3. Queso

Another obvious but very crucial dip. The first thing that comes to mind when someone says “Super Bowl party” is queso. The saltiness of the tortilla chips paired with the rich, gooey dip is the best dynamic duo by a landslide. This is why we mentioned above that you will need a giant Costco-sized bag of tortilla chips because guests will blow through it.

4. Pepperoni Pizza Dip

The universal fan-favorite food. Like the buffalo chicken dip, this dip is fairly easy to make and will automatically be a crowd-pleaser. You can even get fancy with it and layer the outside of the dip with freshly baked bread rolls. Find our well-loved recipe HERE.

The Snacks
Not only will you be looking like a snack in your team jersey, but you will want your guests to be surrounded by snacks. Some of our crowd favorites are as follows:

1. Soft Pretzels

Now this one requires a bit more work and focus. With very few ingredients, your guests will be stunned with a fluffy, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth heaven. It will make them feel like they are actually at the stadium, picking up a freshly baked warm pretzel at one of the concession stands between quarters. Check out one of our favorite recipes HERE.

2. Quesadillas

Grab some queso dip and get those quesadillas ready to drip in cheesy goodness. We suggest a chicken or bacon combination with peppers, onions, and beans. If you really want to get creative with it, quesadillas are one of the most versatile snacks so you can honestly pick whatever you want to go inside. (really, go as rogue as you want).

3. Wings

The quintessential sports-viewing snack. We totally understand if you’re too nervous to make your own so we support you in ordering from either your local wing restaurant or the trusty Buffalo Wild Wings, Wing Stop, and Pizza Hut.

4. Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

Spice things up a bit with some peppers and indulge with some bacon. All you have to do is mix cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, and stuff them up. Wrap them up with thick, juicy bacon and cook until they are dripping with cheese. If you like your bacon extra crispy, leave them in for a bit longer to add even more crunch.

The Decor
Time to turn your space into football heaven. We want your guests to feel as though your party is better than watching the Super Bowl live.

1. Football Dip Dish

Remember those drool-worthy dips we mentioned before? Make them taste even better by serving them in a football bowl. This bowl will be carrying some precious cargo.

2. Foam Fingers

There is nothing better to show your team spirit than foam fingers. Your guests will have a blast putting these on and waving them around when their team scores.

3. Custom Napkins

We all know that food is the MVP of the party. To help eliminate messes and to dress up the table, you can create your own custom napkins. Use your favorite saying, favorite team, or favorite player name on them HERE.

4. Balloons

Every party needs a good set of balloons. Deck out the family room with football balloons, team balloons, or shimmery gold balloons with your favorite players’ numbers. This will dress up your space and make it even more spirited.

5. Team Cups

Another fan favorite activity during games: drinking. Whether it’s a mocktail, cocktail, beer, or wine, your guests can cheer on their team with a special cup. It might be harder to get a team name on your cup of choice so when in doubt, search for some football decorated cups as well.

Activities

1. Placing Bets

Prior to your party, send out a football pool or questionnaire for your guests to fill out. Whoever wins gets a special prize at the end of the game. There are many printable versions you can find online, or you can make it yourself!

2. Commercial Rankings

Prior to the start of the game, hand out some blank sheets of paper to your guests. Throughout the game, have them rank their favorite commercials and compare them at the end of the night to decide which ones take the gold.

3. Potluck Competition

In addition to making your own snacks and dips, have your guests bring something of their choice. Again, hand out a blank sheet of paper and have your guests each pick their favorite food items from the party. Whoever wins gets another special prize (and bragging rights).
